Ingredients

Anything you rub onto your skin is absorbed into your body. That's why we think it's important you know exactly what's in Core Soothe, right down to the last ingredient 🧐

We're proud to say that unlike other products, Core Soothe has nothing to hide

✅ Aqua (Water)
Nothing fancy here - just clean, pure water.

Camphor
Camphor is an extract from the wood of camphor trees. It provides temporary relief of minor muscle and joint aches and pains caused by strains, sprains, bruises, arthritis, and simple backaches.

✅ Alo Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Alo Vera)
Alo vera leaves are packed with over 75 bioactive compounds:

Vitamins: A, C, and E which are all antioxidants, as well as Vitamin B12, folic acid and choline.

Minerals: Aloe vera has a range of supportive minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, selenium, potassium, zinc, chromium, copper, manganese and sodium. Some assist in the proper functioning of metabolic pathways while others provide antioxidant effects.

Enzymes: There are eight different enzymes including ones that reduce excessive inflammation and others that help break down sugars and fats.

Fatty Acids: The fatty acids within aloe vera all help with inflammation, while lupeol specifically has analgesic and antiseptic properties.

 Olea Europea Oil (Olive Oil)
A plant of the ancient world, Olea europaea, commonly known as Olive, has been used in medicine to treat inflammatory diseases for centuries. Beyond its common presence in a healthy diet, it work wonders penetrating the skin of affected areas, carrying key nutrients and oleic acid.

✅ Cetearyl Alcohol (Fatty Alcohol)
A natural alcohol found in animals and plants, like coconut oil. Cetearyl alcohol is a white, waxy mixture of cetyl alcohol and stearyl alcohol, which are both fatty alcohols. The mixture helps prevent creams from separating into oil and liquid.

Unlike other alcohols like ethanol or rubbing alcohol which can be very drying on your skin, fatty alcohols like Cetearyl alcohol trap water and provides a soothing feel to the skin. The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel found cetearyl alcohol to have no significant toxicity and was non-mutagenic.

 Glyceryl Stearate (Fatty Acid)
A fatty acid derived from vegetable oil, Glyceryl Stearate is also naturally occurring in the human body. This wax-like substance appears white or slightly cream in color and is produced when Glycerin and Stearic Acid undergo esterification.

It is used in Core Soothe to help other ingredients in the formulation continue functioning effectively by balancing the cream's pH value and thereby preventing it becoming overly acidic or alkaline. Furthermore, it helps increase shelf life, prevents the cream from freezing and helps lessen the greasy nature of beneficial oils.

 Tribehenin (Fatty Acid)
Tribehenin is composed of glycerin and behenic acid, a naturally-occurring long-chain fatty acid. It is used as a moisturizing agent that forms a protective layer on the surface of your skin to create a barrier to prevent moisture loss. This ensures other key ingredients can remain active within the affected area for a longer period of time.

✅ Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter)
Obtained from the nut of the fruit of a tree, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter is a vegetable fat that mimics the lipid content of your skin. It was chosen for its powerful healing effects including a high concentration of the following:

- Fatty acid compounds, primarily stearic and oleic.

- Vitamin E, the main lipophilic antioxidant for your skin.

- Antioxidant phenolic and flavonoid constituents.

 Glycerin
Also known as glycerol, Glycerin is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. It’s a clear, odorless, colorless and syrupy liquid.

Glycerin is another type of moisturizing agent used in Core Soothe to improve your skin barrier function, thereby trapping the moisture and active ingredients that it draws into the skin.

 Sorbitol (Sugar Alcohol)
Sorbitol is a sugar alcohol that functions as a thickener, improving the texture of the Core Soothe formula while providing further hydrating and moisturizing properties.

Sorbitol also acts as a prebiotic, helping to feed the naturally occurring bacteria on the skin. The skin has a natural microbiome that helps to protect the skin from harmful bacteria and infection.

✅ Arnica Montana Extract (Flower)
A perennial herb belonging to the sunflower family
containing a powerful anti-inflammatory compound, Arnica Montana possesses powerful anti-inflammatory and relaxing characteristics when applied topically.

✅ Harpagophytum Procumbens Root Extract (Devil's Claw)
Native to southern Africa, devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) gets its name from the tiny hooks that cover its fruit. It's a flowering plant of the sesame family with roots packed with several active plant compounds.

Devil's claw has been used for countless years in natural remedies for treating bodily pains. Along with anti-inflammatory effects, the use of devil's claw in Core Soothe has provided yet another layer of natural pain relief.

 Capsicum Annuum (Chili Pepper)
The fruit of the capsicum plant contains a chemical called capsaicin. Unlike the other active ingredients in Core Soothe, topical capsaicin has a complementary mode of action by altering several mechanisms involved in pain function.

✅ Methyl Salicylate (Wintergreen Oil)
Methyl Salicylate is a colorless, viscous organic compound with a sweet, fruity odor reminiscent of root beer, but often associatively called "minty", as it is an ingredient in mint candies. It is used as a topical to treat joint and muscle pain

Typically, menthol or methyl salicylate are used to cause your skin to feel cool and then warm. These feelings on the skin distract you from feeling the aches/pains deeper in your muscles, joints, and tendons. With Core Soothe, we have carefully balanced the amount of methyl salicylate to provide a subtle benefit without a noticeable hot or cold sensation.

 Xanthan Gum (Thickening Agent)
Xanthan gum is a
sugar molecule used as a thickener and emulsifier agent that binds other Core Soothe ingredients together.

✅ Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E)
Vitamin E is known for its antioxidant properties and anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. More is better!

✅ Lactic Acid
Lactic acid is a hydrating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) commonly derived from milk, fermented corn starch, beets, and other sugar-rich foods.
Lactic acid improves your skin’s natural moisture factor while stimulating cell turnover and removal.

✅ Potassium Sorbate (Organic Potassium Salt)
Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. It's a mild preservative that is used to extend the shelf-life of Core Soothe by preventing the growth of bacteria, fungi, and molds. We use Potassium Sorbate in Core Soothe as an alternative to commonly used parabens, which we don't want in our products.

✅ Sodium Benzoate (Organic Sodium Salt)
Sodium benzoate is the sodium salt of benzoic acid. It is used in Core Soothe as an anti-fungal preservative.

✅ Parfum
Core Soothe uses an all natural parfum to support the natural aromas of the other ingredients. Core Soothe is most often described as having a fresh, minty sweet fragrance that leaves you feeling optimistic.
